University of Bedfordshire Visit

We created our own University student. We decided what subject they would like to study, what clubs they might join and even what ambitions they had for the future.
We designed our own T-shirts to encourage people to come to university. The winning group from each class, even got to take a home a special graduation teddy bear.
It was great to see the children have their very own graduation ceremony.

Historical Artefacts

As part of our History learning the children had the opportunity to explore a range of artefacts. It was interesting to see how curious the children were about each of the objects. The children wrote down a range of interesting questions that they wanted to find answers to about each of the objects. The children were then giving time to work in small groups to conduct some research about the objects and t have a go at answering some of their original questions.

Bikeability has been a huge success this year. It has been lovely to hear so many positive comments from the children. Many have spoken about how their confidence has improved particularly when riding on roads. Others have told us how much they now enjoy riding their bikes and that they have even started riding their bikes to school. Some children learned how to ride a bike for the first time this year!

A huge well done to everyone involved!

Queen Bee Bike and Hike

We are so proud of Mr Rolands and the rest of the AMAZING bike team for their amazing efforts in raising money for the Macmillan Cancer charity. Not only did they ride their bikes all the way from York over two days, but they then joined a large group from St Matthew’s on a 10K hike from Barton-Le-Clay, all the way back to our school.

Mr Pontefract and Miss Dhanoa, also joined in on this amazing charity event by taking part in the massive 10K hike. An incredible achievement!

Well done to everyone involved. We are all incredibly proud of your achievements.
